Harish Verma

Mr. Harish Verma, Founder of Invictus EHS & ESG Solutions, is a high impact EHS, ESG & Business Process Excellence professional. He has held multiple global leadership positions working with people from diverse cultures. He is a veteran Chemical Engineer from Panjab University, Chandigarh. He brings a rich experience of 35+ years in FMCG, Chemical & Pharmaceutical sectors. He has led multi-cultural and diverse global teams from multiple continents (Asia, Europe, North America, Africa).

He has an enriching experience in Manufacturing, R&D, Projects, Materials Management (Responsible procurement), Technology Transfer, Strategy, Business Process Excellence, before finally settling in EHS and ESG (Sustainability – Doing business profitably and responsibly). He has successfully developed and effectively installed World Class EHS & ESG Systems that includes Design for EHS & Sustainability, Net Zero Strategy & Plan, New Products Introduction, Industrial Hygiene (WEA, Personal Monitoring, Control Banding), Environmental remediation etc. He specializes in prevention of Anti-Microbial Resistance (AMR) in the manufacturing supply chain. He was a key member and an integral part of Global AMR Alliance that was setup by global pharma giants to help combat AMR for controlling producers supply chain footprints. He was a key player in defining AMR Antibiotic Manufacturing Framework in 2018 which is now Antibiotic Manufacturing Standard. He was also a part of MoEFCC committee of experts that was responsible for setting up most recent Environmental Standards for Pharma sector.

He started his career with HUL and moved to Ranbaxy Laboratories Limited which laid the cornerstones of his exhaustive experience in multiple business functions. He was the Corporate EHS Head at Ranbaxy before switching to Jubilant Life Sciences as VP and EHS Head. He later moved to Cipla as its VP and Global EHS Head, a similar position he held in his last tenure at Piramal Pharma Ltd.. He was also responsible for and led Sustainability/ESG at Ranbaxy, Cipla and Piramal. At Piramal he spearheaded and led from the front on the Safety Cultural Transformation journey across multiple sites.

He is a Certified Sustainability Assurance Provider from CII-ITC Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Development. He is trained by Chilworth (PSM), SafeBridge & ISS (Industrial Hygiene) to name a few.
