
Rachel M Bennett
Ms. Rachel M Bennett is a Senior Risk, Safety and Human & Organisational Factors professional with a background of 20+ years working across a wide breadth of sectors in UK and overseas. She is well-versed in leading Human Factors (HF) Engineering projects across the project lifecycle including leading HF integration as part of design & engineering programmes. She brings extensive experience in working to optimise best practice to address the root causes of performance in complex organisations drawing on her knowledge and experience of risk management and human factors practise. She is skilled in hazard studies, bowties, health and safety management system development, procedure design and implementation, policies, driving implementation and providing first-rate leadership to support project aims, objectives and people.
Rachel has led programmes including Safety Culture improvement programmes, Safety Critical Task analysis, leadership engagement, devising training & competence assurance processes and developing procedures and standards relating to safety critical operations and maintenance. She has published papers relating to the importance of engagement in effective safety management, conducted research into the psychology of workplace change and has lectured in Human Factors for the Loss Prevention MSc course at Sheffield University, UK.
Rachel has a BSc and Master of Science in Organisational Psychology and Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors, UK.
